Sheryl Underwood is an American actress as well as a comedian and TV host popular for her performance in The Talk's daytime co-host role. Born in Arkansas she grew up at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by the midst of a challenging family. She spent most of her childhood taking care of her younger sister Frankie who suffered from an illness called polio. She faced a lot of problems with her mother as she was growing as a teenager. Sheryl claimed that at one instance, she was stabbed by her mother the father of her child due to her proximity to him. Sheryl joined the military after her graduation from college. She was interested in comedy. She was the first woman to reach the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV career started in 1992 with her appearance on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She also hosted the show Oh Drama! in 2000. In 2011, she began making appearances as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. The actress has appeared on fictional programs like Bulworth Nikki Beauty Shop and others.
