Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music under the name Harry Styles, is a British music producer and songwriter who is regarded as one of the singers in the group One Direction. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1st, 1994. He is the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own group of musicians with three of his classmates. The band was called White Eskimo. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009 because of their exceptional performances. While he has always been fascinated by music, despite his enthusiasm, he was contemplating becoming a lawyer or physiotherapist. He worked for a time for a short time in a baker's shop in the city he lived in for the purpose of assisting financially at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's hit song Is not She Lovely. That's the reason his band ended up splitting. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles become part of the group One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You The song was composed by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the contest. This made the group one of the favorite groups for the prize. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nonetheless paid two million dollars to One Direction for them to sign a deal with Syco.
