Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington has worked as a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. She is also the founder of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. After moving to England from Greece at the age of 16 She earned an MA with Economics from Cambridge University. In her 21st year, she was head of the famous debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. She was an author for a conservative newspaper after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a year following, she launched an online voice platform with a critique of current political scenarios. It was possible for her to recruit numerous prominent contributors to post their views regarding politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she decided to run as an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election to replace the former governor Davis. Apart from this she also was the leader of an Detroit project that promoted the use of fuel-efficient cars. She was named one of the Most Influential Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, and was awarded 12th position on the list. The same year, the Guardian named her on the Top 100 Media List. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her president of the media group that also includes other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Her parents were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant and journalist. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both of her parents, it was their bond which shaped her. At an early age, she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. In her 16th year, she travelled to England to pursue her studies and was enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college in which she became the third and first female to hold the position of president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was awarded. Her career as TV host and journalist began after she graduated. In addition, she appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with his editing assistance.
