Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an author and philanthropist as well as a television host as well as the proprietor of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she moved to England when she was 16 and was able to graduate from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first ever foreign-born student to serve as president in the prestigious debate group The Cambridge Union, at 21, she was able to take over the position. Her success as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online platform for voice that gave critical opinions on the politics. Her fame led to the recruitment of a number of well-known contributors for posting their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna was famous in 2003 when she ran as an independent in the California recall elections in order to replace Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna also spearheaded the Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the top women in the media, achieving 12th position in the listing and the following year, the Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media group which included many existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her father despite her being very close to her father. In her earliest times, she demonstrated abilities to lead, and for this her name is still well-known. When she moved to England, she was sixteen to further her studies and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she joined Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female president and only president from outside the country. In 1972 she received an honorary degree in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a columnist critic, and as a host on television. Alongside Bernard Levin she appeared on an edition of Face the music.
